another fantabulous halloween has come & gone.  in keeping with tradition, we spent the evening hitting up boo boo & ami's neighbors for treats, and we're now the proud owners of 7682906572498067 additional lbs of sugary deliciousness & chocolatey chews.  even sweeter than the loot, however, was the company we kept.  it was berry, berry nice & a rootin', tootin', mousekadoodlin' great night!!

ween!!!  today marks henro's 6th celebration of fright night.  we're keeping this year's getup outta his hands until the very last minute, as there's no room on the agenda for a last minute scramble to find a new transformer costume, so i thought i'd get in the spirit (pun intended) by busting out some old all hallow's eve pics of the lil monster...

thought i'd do a little em-iniscing & take a look back at october 24, 2009...the day before boo boo & henro were dethroned by the world's most precious little princess.

the big news o' the day was someone's first game day at death valley.  little did we know, purple & gold essitment would get trumped a thousand times over by 4678290627 shades of pink the next day!  nonetheless...

henro's first official homework assignment was to write or bring a picture of something he's thankful for.  or, in his vocab, "fankful for" (try saying that a dozen times, fast).

not to discredit h or his counterparts, but i have a hunch mrs l strongly encouraged the kids not to answer a toy or gadget.  still...

as luck would have it, the children presented their "thankful's" at the very end of friday, right after they finished their special letter c snack...and I got to watch!

the kiddos were precious & several triggered my tear ducts with their sentiments...even especially henro, who told the class he's "fankful for my family because i love them."

it was the best ending to what had been a ridonkulously crazy, busy, sick & stressful week.  fanks, sweet boy, i love u & i'm so incredibly fankful for YOU :)
